The Truth – (You’re All Doomed)

September 24, 2011 at 9:17 pm (Originals, Rap Beats)

Hey guys – so it been a long time – I’ve finally settled down in a house again – so the beats are back.  So, I’ve been getting really into contemporary african music lately, and there is this blog –  This guy finds really obscure cassettes of african artists and posts them up – one of these tapes, titled Woubeshet Feseha is where most of these samples were pulled from.  Enjoy.

Old DEMOs!?

May 12, 2011 at 10:06 am (Originals)

Oh jeez…IT has been a while.  I’m back though, if anyone is still tuning in – I’m planning on hitting the music pretty hard now that i’m back in Athens – and what what better way to start off then by adding some old demos i found on a CD i found at my mom’s house labeled “Just a test”.  Presumably these are some old songs i was working on a few years back, and i was testing the mix via CD.  i love it when that happens!   Anyway, they’re not really songs exactly – and some of them are pretty damned long – enjoy.

Lost in time

November 22, 2010 at 10:05 am (Originals, Rap Beats)

Hey everybody.  So due to my moving to Sydney, and getting a job in a factory, working at east 50 hours a week with an hour commute one way, I haven’t had any time to pump out sweet sweet beats.  This coupled with the fact that my external hard drive, with ALL my audio data, started smoking about two weeks ago, as well as being homeless for a stint, has additionally made it difficult to make my shit.  Excuses excuses – anyways, I’ll do my best, to keep em’ coming.  This next one features a movie quote from blade runner, as well as a bunch of Jethro tull sampes.  Allright hope you enjoy it.

I am a believer

September 19, 2010 at 4:27 am (Originals, Rap Beats)

Hey what’s up yall,

I’m currently now on vacation for another 5 days,  so I had some time to lay out a new track.  This one is influenced by rap of the dirty south, which i have been coming to appreciate much more as of late.  I think i listened to Rick Ross’s song “hustlin'”  30 times yesterday.  Super bad ass.  Anyways, hope you enjoy it.

It’s remarkable

August 18, 2010 at 4:05 pm (Originals, Rap Beats)

Here is another smooth butta beat for you – made exclusively from barry white samples, so you know “it’s remarkable” .  God he is such a pimp it’s crazy.  Anyways I hope you enjoy it.  Oh yeah, I almost have enough raw material to compile an album i think – I was thinking about calling my new project “Beat Head”  – is that name lame – please let me know your thoughts and also name suggestions.

Double Feature – Swing Sketches

August 14, 2010 at 11:11 am (Originals, Rap Beats)

Hey guys,

This one here is of a somewhat different format in that this song features two shot song ideas blended together, hence double swing sketch.  The first one is sampled from grant green’s cover of the sound of music’s my favorite things and the second one is primarily sampled from the Freddie Hubbard song called born to be blue – the drums in the second sample were altered and came from a head hunters song.

Inner Mystique

August 5, 2010 at 3:09 am (Originals, Rap Beats)

Hey Y’all – I just got back from Fukuoka for vacation. It was pretty excellent.  Lot’s of beautiful Japanese ladies, and beaches.  Anyways, I just cranked this out.  The drum’s are sampled from a Barry White song – The psychedelic bass line is sampled from the first track off The Chocolate Watch bands album “Inner Mystique” Which is an awesome album if you like psychedelic shiet.  And the vocals are pulled off of Betty Lavette’s cover of It ain’t easy -by Bowie.  Enjoy.
